"You could tell the hummus was homemade! Pita bread right out of the oven. Portions were huge - I had enough left over for a second meal. The decor was lovely too."
"You know it's good when you show up opening day and make plans to return the very next day. ESPECIALLY the green herb sauce."

"Originally from New York where Mediterranean restaurants are common - the food, service and ambiance at Mazal would rank high even in New York."
"The schnitzel salad is my fave. The babaganoush has a really nice smoky flavor. The citrus dressing is excellent on everything. There really isn't anything you can go wrong with ordering!"
"Our Sunday brunch was a win for the whole family. The lamb shawarma special was incredible. But the real star? The biscuit cake we all shared. We'll definitely be back!"
"The smash kebab pita was incredible - service was friendly and attentive. I loved the family photos on the wall. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5."
"Grandma Mazal never wrote down a single recipe. She'd say - you cook with your hands, not with measurements. We're still doing it that way." - Gal & Tal Alhadef, Founders
Growing up, the kitchen always smelled like cumin, tahini, and whatever Grandma Mazal decided to make that day. She cooked for family, for neighbors, for anyone who showed up hungry - and somehow there was always enough. No shortcuts. No measurements. Just real food, made with her hands and a generous pour of olive oil. When Gal and Tal moved to Charleston and decided to open a restaurant, naming it anything else felt like a betrayal.
